Arizona Home School Theater Group: Photography From a Mom’s Lens
I am a photographer, but mainly I am a mom.
More specifically, a home-educator of my four lovely daughters.
They definitely keep me busy!
One thing is for sure, they will never be able to look back on their childhood and weep over not having their precious memories preserved in image form. At least not the big events.
I can’t say they are all in pretty albums and organized, but there are plenty of them!

My oldest three have participated in AZHT (Arizona Home School Theater Group) a few times over the last several years.
It is a fantastic way to get the kids on stage and in front of an audience in a super fun and creative way.
Everyone gets a part, and the kids get the amazing experience of working with other kids to create something incredible.
They also learn self-confidence, to speak clearly, and how to bring to life a great literary work.

Earlier this year, they were in the production of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”.
It was quite an impressive performance, and it was very easy to forget these were 6-17 year old kids, some without any prior stage experience.
There is some serious talent in this group!

The directors are inspiring, patient, and work wonderfully with the children.
Many of the parents were involved in supporting the performance by set designing, costume creating, and much, much more, making it extra special for the kids.
My kids cherish these memories and look forward to being part of this group again.

If you are interested, AZHT puts on a fall and a spring performance.
The fall session offers Shakespeare for 12 and up, as well as a Story Book theater class for 6 and up.
In the spring, they put on a performance that includes all ages.
They are starting up August 21st for their fall session.
