Chandler Portrait Photographer Finds Great Locations To Photograph Outdoor Portraits
Living in the East Valley, I am familiar with many of the regular portrait venues, but it’s nice to find new places outside of my area.
Every time I’m in downtown Phoenix, I see so many potential places for portraits, but one that just seems to have it all in one place is Heritage Square.
I know it’s a popular place for many photographers, but since most of my clients live in the East Valley, and driving into Phoenix is a little inconvenient, I don’t really have the opportunity to take a family there!
So, why not use my own little models?

We had my little god-daughter staying with us from out of town for a week last summer.
When you have 4 girls, one more is really not a problem.
She was actually a pleasure to have, and so much fun.
We filled most of our days with swimming and playing, but decided at least one big day out would be fun before she left.

We got up early, drove up to the top of S. Mountain for a short walk and some sight-seeing.
Then headed to Phoenix for some ice – cream at Mac Alpines (YUM), went to the Phoenix Art Museum (amazing as usual), then – since we were down there, ended our day out with a mini-portrait session at Heritage Square.
Why not, right?
These poor girls were run ragged for the day, sweaty and tired, but such good sports!

They managed some sincere smiles between the goofing off and comments like, “Are we done yet?” And, “Can we just go home?”
All in all, it went well, we got some great shots in the short amount of time we were there, and I got my chance to try out a new venue!
