Kristi and Daniel’s Wedding Photography
Weddings are always beautiful, exciting, emotional and fun . . . but even more so when you know the couple.
Kristi is the daughter of the pastor of the church we have called home for over 12 years now. I have had the privilege of watching this young woman grow up.
She has faithfully served on the worship team and has been a shining example to the youth of our church. Then, a few years ago, Daniel started attending our church.
He has an amazing musical talent and started serving alongside her. It seemed to be only a matter of time that they would come together; both share a passion for God, serving, and music.
Though everyone was overjoyed at the announcement of their courtship, I can’t say it was a complete surprise!

I started photographing as Kristi was about to slip into her gorgeous dress. She had only a few final touches before heading to the church.
The emotions grew high as sister, mom, and the rest of the family set their eyes on the radiant bride before them.
Another photographer, Brenda Sand, was working with the guys. Many of her amazing photographs are posted on Facebook.

It was a bright, sunny, and extremely hot Arizona day outside, so we kept our outside portraits to a minimum.
We were fortunate enough to have found a beautiful lake community close by, making it convenient to stop for some quick shots with the girls.

The Ceremony Was Touching
Everyone witnessed father-of-the-bride give his daughter away and then step up to the podium to bind the marriage.
Kristi and Daniel lovingly said their vows, shared in the sand ceremony, signed the marriage license and exchanged rings.

As usual, this ceremony ended with a kiss to seal the deal.
But this was no ordinary kiss. This was their first kiss. . . lovingly and carefully saved for this special moment.
Not only were fireworks exploding on the screen behind them, but several members of the “audience” were holding up scoring cards. I’m sure they were tickled to see they scored all 9.5’s and 10’s!

We took some quick family portraits at the church before heading out to our beautiful little desert oasis down the road.
What a FUN group to photograph!
Even though we had time limitations, we managed to get some great shots.

We hurried back to the church just in time for the reception.
The rest of the evening was full of sweet surprises and lots of fun for everyone.
There were elegantly choreographed dances and a milk and chocolate chip cookie toast.
Instead of a bouquet toss, the bride gave out a rose to each of the single women and young ladies. And instead of a garter toss, the groom gave each of the single guys a guitar pick, or a “let God pick”.
Both shared encouragement to trust that God will direct their lives.

The night ended as the guests sent the newlyweds off with glow lights as if waving their magical wands of blessings and well wishes on their new life together.
