Lamey Family Portraits Chandler

One of the many things I love about photographing is working with friends.

The need for updated family portraits is a great reason to get the families together, right?

So, with my entire family in tow, and of course our family friends there for their camera time, we set off to a neighborhood park.

Soon after we arrived, it was apparent the wind might be a problem.

“Gusty” would be an understatement!

I was so concerned we would end up with windblown hair and closed eyes in every photo.

They were such good sports, I made everyone stay in position until we had a brief break in the waves of wind, then I’d snap away.

I had my daughters and husband there to tame hair, hold lights, and help keep everyone entertained (which isn’t too hard with this crowd!)

This family is super easygoing and playful, and dad always knows how to throw the family for a loop with his unexpected antics.

Like in this cute photo of the family waiting “in pose” for the wind to die down – springing a kiss on mom stirred everyone up!

Miraculously, we managed to get some amazing photos – without hair flying everywhere!

It took a little longer than expected, but we all made the best of it.

And I’m sure every time they see these photos, they’ll fondly remember their windy Photoshoot
